Objectives

The project aims to:

  • Increase access to local sources of financing for renewable energy
  • Increase the security of energy supply in the country and its ASEAN neighbors by promoting RE sources as an alternative energy supply option
  • Increase the economic exchanges between the European Union and ASEAN countries through sharing of experiences in financing RE investments
  • Improve the environment by promoting the utilitization of RE
  • Facilitate the implementation of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Co-operation 2004-2009, in particular the promotion of RE and design of innovative RE financial instruments.
